Accommodation at Baqueira 1500

Baqueira 1500 is the main village of Baqueira Beret ski resort. Built at 1,500 metres above sea level, it is where the resort started in 1964 and where most services are concentrated: gondola, ski schools, equipment rental shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarket, pharmacy and lift pass sales.

Apartments at Baqueira 1500

Apartments at Baqueira 1500 are spread across the buildings around the central square and the village streets. This is the area with the highest density of rental options in the entire resort, from studios for 2 to 3-bedroom apartments sleeping 6-8.

Renting an apartment at Baqueira 1500 has one clear advantage over the other zones: everything is on foot. Gondola, ski school, restaurants, shops. It is the liveliest part of Baqueira, with full resort atmosphere in peak season.

Baqueira 1500 vs other resort zones

Baqueira Beret has four accommodation zones. Each offers something different:

Baqueira 1500 (this page). The original resort centre. Most services, widest apartment choice, most atmosphere. Apartments in a range of sizes and prices. For those who want resort life.

Tanau (Level 1700). Residential area higher up, accessed via the Tanau chairlift. Quieter, with wide views. Fewer commercial services.

Pletas. Chalets and detached houses at the edge of the resort. For those looking for space and privacy.

Gondola and piste access

The Baqueira gondola departs from the centre of Baqueira 1500 and connects to the upper mountain. From the village apartments, access is on foot (2-5 minutes depending on the building). No need to drive.

The resort offers 170 km of slopes (5 green, 43 blue, 48 red, 17 black) served by 36 lifts across three linked areas: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua.

Parking at Baqueira 1500

Baqueira 1500 has a large surface car park next to the gondola. Some apartments include a parking space in the building. In peak season (Christmas, Easter, bank holidays), the car park fills early. Guests staying in the village can leave the car parked for the entire stay and walk everywhere.

Resort services

Baqueira 1500 is the only zone with full services: ski schools (ERA and others), equipment rental shops, lift pass point, restaurants (from quick bites to fine dining), cafés with terraces, supermarket, pharmacy, ATM and medical centre. It is also the starting point for the free shuttle bus connecting all resort zones.

How to get to Baqueira 1500

Baqueira 1500 is on the C-28 road, 12 km from Vielha and 5 km from Salardú. Access via the N-230 and the Vielha tunnel. Distances: Barcelona 280 km (3 h 30 min), Toulouse 277 km (3 h), Zaragoza 263 km (3 h). The main car park is signposted at the entrance to the village.
