Baqueira Beret ski resort

Baqueira Beret is Spain's largest ski resort by skiable kilometres: 170 km spread across 116 runs (5 green, 43 blue, 48 red, 17 black and 3 cross-country) served by 36 lifts. The resort is divided into three linked areas: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua, reaching a maximum altitude of 2,610 metres.

Its position on the north face of the Pyrenees, with Atlantic-influenced climate, delivers snow conditions that few Spanish resorts can match. The season typically runs from late November to April, with natural snowfall supplemented by 769 snow cannons.

In summer, the Blanhiblar chairlift at Beret climbs to 2,200 metres and opens up hiking trails, mountain biking routes and viewpoints across the Aran Valley.

Beyond skiing: what to do in Baqueira

Baqueira works as a base for exploring the Aran Valley all year round. Less than 20 minutes by car you can enjoy our accommodation in Vielha (the valley capital, with shops, the Ice Palace and a lively restaurant scene), the Baronía de Les thermal baths, Aigüestortes National Park and Romanesque villages such as Arties or Salardú. How to get to Baqueira

Baqueira is located in the Upper Aran Valley (Lleida). Approximate driving distances: Barcelona 280 km (3 h 30 min), Zaragoza 263 km (3 h), Toulouse 277 km (3 h), Madrid 585 km (6 h), San Sebastián 321 km (3 h 30 min).

The standard route is via the N-230 and the Vielha tunnel. During the ski season, access roads are kept clear of snow. The nearest airport is Toulouse-Blagnac (277 km) or Lleida-Alguaire (180 km). Lleida city has a high-speed rail (AVE) connection with Madrid and Barcelona.
