Heritage

The Romanesque church of Sant Julià (12th century, bell tower from 1619) presides over the village. Inside, a carved Christ of artistic value. Near the village, an archaeological site with Early Christian remains. Garós sits on the Camin Reiau, a historic trail connecting the villages of the Aran Valley.

Nature

The Camin Reiau crosses Garós and allows you to walk to neighbouring villages such as Arties or Vielha without driving. The surroundings offer hiking trails, mountain biking and access to the Garonne river. In summer, the forests and meadows around the village serve as a base for excursions to Aigüestortes National Park.

Gastronomy
