The Pletas are a group of residential developments within Baqueira Beret ski resort, spread between Level 1500 and Level 1700. The name comes from "pletas", traditional Aranese Pyrenean constructions in stone, slate and wood. They are the most exclusive areas of the resort: houses and apartments with mountain architecture, private services, covered parking and ski storage.

Pleta de Baqueira

At Level 1500, next to the resort centre. Houses and apartments with access to the main village services (restaurants, ski schools, shops) and a free internal minibus to the chairlift. The most established of the three.

Pleta de Nheu

At Level 1700, with wide views across the valley and direct piste access. Sunny apartments, quiet and residential. Gated area with private services.

Pleta de Tanau

At Level 1700, at the foot of the Tanau chairlift. The choice for those who want direct lift access without passing through the resort centre.

Houses and chalets in the Pletas

The Pletas concentrate the largest offer of houses and chalets for rent in Baqueira Beret. Properties with 3 to 4 bedrooms sleeping 6 to 10 guests, fireplaces, private gardens and in many cases multiple floors. House rental in the Pletas de Baqueira suits large groups and families seeking space and privacy at the foot of the slopes.

Pletas vs other Baqueira zones

Compared to Baqueira 1500 (resort centre, more shops, more noise), the Pletas offer a more residential setting with exclusive services. Compared to Tanau (hillside developments, more affordable), the Pletas have better facilities and higher-end finishes.

Services in the Pletas

The Pletas developments include integrated services: covered parking, ski storage, communal areas, green spaces and, in some complexes, swimming pool and spa. A free internal minibus connects the Pletas to the Baqueira 1500 chairlift throughout the ski season, running every 15 to 30 minutes.

How to get to the Pletas

The Pletas are on the internal roads of Baqueira Beret resort, between Level 1500 and Level 1700. 12 km from Vielha and 5 km from Salardú. Access via the N-230 and the Vielha tunnel. Distances: Barcelona 280 km (3 h 30 min), Toulouse 277 km (3 h), Zaragoza 263 km (3 h).
