Val de Ruda is a residential development at Baqueira Beret, built at the base of the Val de Ruda gondola. Situated at 1,500 metres above sea level, at the entrance to the Ruda Valley, it is separated from the main village of Baqueira 1500 by roughly 800 metres of road. It is the newest zone of the resort and the most sought-after for holiday rental.

Val de Ruda gondola

Direct access from the development. Connects to the full Baqueira Beret ski area (170 km of slopes, 116 runs, 36 lifts). Ski-in ski-out accommodation in Val de Ruda means you can ski all day without touching your car.

Covered parking

Large underground car park with wide spaces and direct access to each building entrance. The Val de Ruda parking is one of the most convenient in Baqueira Beret: drive in, take the lift and you are in your apartment.

Ski storage

Individual lockers on the ground floor of each block, next to the gondola access. Step out of the ski storage, clip into your boots and you are on the piste.

Finishes and equipment

Apartments in Val de Ruda at Baqueira have modern finishes (the development is newer than Baqueira 1500 and Tanau). Wooden floors, equipped kitchens, renovated bathrooms. Many include a fireplace.

Val de Ruda or Baqueira 1500

Val de Ruda and Baqueira 1500 are less than a kilometre apart but offer a different experience:

Baqueira 1500 is the original resort centre. More shops, ski schools, restaurants and a wider choice of apartments. More street life, more noise in peak season.

Val de Ruda is more residential and quieter. Fewer shops (a small supermarket and café), but newer apartments, integrated parking and its own gondola. The preferred choice for families and skiers who prioritise logistics over resort atmosphere.

The Ruda Valley: nature at your doorstep

The development takes its name from the Ruda Valley, a glacial valley that opens directly behind the buildings. In winter, the gondola climbs towards the ski area. In summer, the valley becomes the starting point for hiking trails.

From Val de Ruda you can reach the Saboredo Cirque (2,300 m), where the river Garonne rises. Black pine forests, mountain lakes and open views across the Upper Aran. The Colomèrs Cirque, the Montgarri Sanctuary and Aigüestortes National Park are also close by. How to get to Val de Ruda

Val de Ruda is on the Baqueira–Bonaigua road, 14 km from Vielha and 7 km from Salardú. From the N-230 (Vielha tunnel), take the turning towards Baqueira and continue 2 km past the Baqueira 1500 village. The covered car park is signposted at the entrance to the development.
