Vielha sits in the centre of the Aran Valley (Lleida, Catalonia). Access via the N-230 and Vielha tunnel. Driving distances: Toulouse 277 km (3 h), Barcelona 280 km (3 h 30 min), Zaragoza 263 km (3 h). Nearest airports: Toulouse-Blagnac (2 h 45 min drive) and Lleida-Alguaire (2 h). Barcelona El Prat connects via the AP-2 motorway (3 h 30 min).

The Aran Valley from Vielha

From your apartment in Vielha you can reach the thermal baths at Les (10 min), Aigüestortes National Park via the Bonaigua pass, Romanesque villages (Arties, Salardú, Bagergue) and hiking trails to Saut deth Pish, Artiga de Lin and Circ de Colomèrs. Local Aranese cuisine (olla aranesa, grilled meats, Aran cheese) fills the restaurants in the town centre.
