New features for the 23/24 season in Baqueira

The 2023–2024 ski season has already begun. In Baqueira Beret everything has been carefully prepared so you can enjoy a wide range of new features in this exciting ski season. Do you want to know what you will find during your stay? At Alma de Nieve we tell you all about it.

Three new ski runs

Both the Valls d’Àneu resort and the Val d’Aran resort have been improved by optimising routes and expanding their areas with three new runs. Test your skills on skis on the red Barqueta run, which goes from the Baqueira viewpoint to Argulls. It is 770 metres long with a 274-metre vertical drop. The Vista Beret run is blue, and the run that previously had this name is now called Ta Baqueira 1.

The return to the main part of the resort has been improved so you can get back in the shortest possible time. The Clòt der Os run allows access to the TSD Dossau lift before returning to Beret through the beginners’ area. If you are looking for safety, choose the Colhet de Marimanha run in Beret to descend via Dossau and Cabanes from the TSD Clòt der Os.

No run crosses another, so as a skier you can move around comfortably without any inconvenience. Tamarro is the run that has become the main axis after the disappearance of Isards. With 2,297 metres in length and 465 metres of vertical drop, you have plenty of space to show your skiing skills.

A sustainable investment

Snow production will be carried out taking into account electricity and water usage. At the same time, the carbon footprint will be reduced. The goal is to make the commitment to ecology and respect for the natural environment more effective than ever. The most important aspects of this new way of producing snow are:

• Technological innovation that reduces electricity consumption by 48% per cubic metre of snow.
• The installation of 66 latest-generation snowmaking machines to help generate 60% of the snow covering the 170 kilometres of slopes. The 21 snowmakers on the Ticolet run help ensure that up to 24% of skiers can use it. In Beret, 14 snowmakers have been installed between Audeth and Debutants.
• In the Fernández-Ochoa Stadium there are four new snowmakers near the forest. The nearby lift has a mid-station drop-off point and access to the Snowpark (where three new snowmakers have been installed).
• In Baqueira, two snowmakers have been installed on the Tortuga run. Eight more have been added in other areas such as Bonaigua.

Digital access to the facilities

Whether you like skiing or snowboarding, you will have no problem carrying out tasks such as: recharging the BaqueiraTICKET and BaqueiraPASS, which can be topped up and updated on the official website; and managing parking, which can be done without printing receipts in order to reduce paper use.

Audi Ski Kronos in Beret

It has moved from Baqueira to Beret and is now located parallel to the Reina run and below the Snowpark. You can complete the experience with the Race Corner available at the Audi Quattro bar. On the screen you can see your runs thanks to the ski pass reader. The TQ Pla de Beret has been reoriented towards the lift, and the conveyor belt has been relocated to the side of the Debutants run.
