The archive of the Conselh Generau d’Aran
Located in a traditional manor house, this place is part of the network of the Government of Catalonia aimed at preserving objects and documents that safeguard the history of Catalonia. It was inaugurated in 1988 and holds documentation ranging from the 14th to the 21st century. You can access these documents in person if you are interested in learning more about the history of the area. Don’t forget to explore its exterior as well. The Ademar manor house was built in 1820 by Francisco Ademà Subirà.
Church of Santa Eulalia
Less than a minute away you will find this 14th-century Gothic church. The most striking feature is its bell tower, which has an original octagonal shape with a flat roof. In fact, it is the only structure of this kind in the entire valley. It consists of a single nave and has four side chapels added later. Notable interior elements include a Romanesque baptismal font from the 12th century and a Gothic silver cross.
Washhouse and watering place
On Main Street, you will find the old washhouse. Built from stone and slate roofs, it was used by locals for doing laundry. Please note that the water is not drinkable, as indicated by a sign.
Old School Museum
Today, the village no longer has a school, as students attend classes in Vielha, but it preserves a replica of the two schools it once had. These ceased their activity in 1975. Inside the building, you will find old desks and original blackboards recreating what the classrooms used to look like.

This beautiful waterfall has a drop of more than 12 meters. You can reach it by car, as there is a parking area nearby. From there, you won’t need to walk much, as access on foot is easy. Follow a comfortable paved track that runs parallel to the Varradòs River. It is easy to find; you should go via the Pont d’Arrós.
Its waters come from Estanh Long, located further north in the Siesso forest. Here are some tips to enjoy the area even more:
- Food: We recommend bringing something to eat so you can enjoy the views while having a break.
- Swimsuit: Don’t forget your swimsuit. If it’s hot, you might want to take a dip.
