Drag lift

It is one of the most commonly used lifts, as it is individual or at most for two people at a time and is usually located in areas with the highest skier concentration. But be careful... despite its simple appearance, it can be challenging for beginners. You should not fully sit down, only support yourself, keep your legs slightly bent, and if you let go during the ride, it is important to quickly move away from the skier path. It is ideal for short sections and learning or connection areas.

The drag lift is common in learning areas, where routes are short and allow beginners to get used to the ascent.

Magic carpet

The name explains it. It is a conveyor belt, similar to an escalator, mainly used in learning areas or children’s slopes. It can carry several people at the same time and is extremely easy to use, making it ideal for beginners or families with small children. These carpets are usually located on green slopes or beginner areas, such as Beret, the most family-friendly sector of Baqueira, where you can find 39 slopes and 11 different ski lifts.

Cable car

The classic cable car is a transport system with large cabins suspended from cables. They are ideal for moving a large number of people to specific points in the mountain. They can have a capacity of up to 100 people in some models and are perfect for long distances or for enjoying spectacular views, providing connections between areas or main access points.
